How to publish and share an app you made in ChatGPT or Claude
By Kinetropic, the maker of Koi Launch · Updated:
Short answer
Ask the AI to build the app through the Koi Launch connector, then say “Publish it.” You get a permanent link that opens in any browser or in Telegram. Send it to anyone. Each publish is saved as a version, you can roll back in one message, and you can make the app private at any time.
Why can't I just share what ChatGPT or Claude wrote?
A chat gives you code, but code is not an app until something hosts it, gives it a stable link, and stores each person's data. Koi Launch is that missing part: it hosts the app on a separate, sandboxed domain, keeps each visitor's saved progress, and keeps the link stable across updates.
How do you publish an app from a chat?
- Connect Koi Launch to ChatGPT or Claude (once).
- Build the app by chatting, and ask for a preview.
- Say “Publish it.” or “Publish the update with the note: added organic chemistry.”
- Ask “Give me the link to this app.”
Who can open the app, and can you make it private?
By default anyone with the link can open the app, and every person gets their own saved progress. Say “Make this app private so only I can open it” to restrict it, and “Open it to anyone with the link again” to undo that.
How do updates and rollbacks work?
Each publish becomes a new version while the link stays the same. If an update breaks something, ask “Roll back to the previous version” or “Bring back version 3.” You can also ask which versions you have published.
What are the limits?
The free plan has 300 MB of storage for your apps and up to 100 apps. Koi Launch Go raises storage to 1 GB and adds AI inside apps. Apps cannot run custom server code, creators cannot sell apps or take payments, and everything you publish must follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
Can friends open it without an account?
They can open the link in any browser. To save progress, a friend signs in with Google, email or Telegram. Telegram is optional.
Frequently asked questions
Is publishing free?
Yes. Publishing and sharing are free on the Free plan.
Will the link change when I update the app?
No. The link stays the same across versions.
Can I delete an app and its data?
Yes. Ask your AI to delete the app. That removes its versions and every user's data in it.
Where is the app hosted?
On Koi Launch, in a separate sandboxed domain. You do not manage servers.
Can I put the app on my Home Screen?
Yes. Open the web app, then tap Install on Android, or Share and Add to Home Screen on iPhone.
